Can you monitor the system I already have in my home?

If you own your system, in most cases, yes! There are a few systems that we are unable to immediately monitor, such as the older technologies and some “proprietary” systems. We can tell you over the phone if you can take advantage of our offer right away. Our fully trained alarm technicians will come to your home or business to program and fully test and set up your system in less than a couple of hours, free of charge is all components are in working order. We also provide updates using the newest technology for a specially discounted rate for our customers.

I hear a lot of advertising from a company that states owning a security system which doesn’t have two-way voice communication is just a waste of money. Is this true?

Almost all makes and brands of security systems are capable of two-way voice communication with the addition of an extra component. However, it is not a very popular feature as most burglars don’t usually stop to chat with the monitoring station and identify themselves. The panic buttons on the keypads are very effective in communicating with the monitoring station of the emergency.

What if I don’t have a system now? Can you provide one?

Bastion Security offers a full line of security products and we pride ourselves on the new systems we install. Having over 20 years in the alarm industry assures you that your new Bastion Security system will be the best available to fit your needs.

What type of equipment do you carry?

Bastion Security uses only quality security alarm equipment manufactured by such brands as GE Security, Ademco/Honeywell, DSC, Interlogix and HAI/Leviton.

What is the warranty policy on your systems and how much extra must I pay for the peace of mind of an extended warranty offer?

At Bastion Security we take care of our customers by offering a twelve month parts and labor warranty. You may opt for the extended warranty plan, which will cover parts and labor as long as you’re a monitored customer.

I’m renting the home where I’m living. Can you put a system in for me?

With the property owner’s permission, we can install a state-of-the-art system that you can take with you if you ever relocate. If this is within the Vancouver Island Area, Bastion Security can then re-install the system in your new home, apartment or business.

What about the billing? How do I pay?

Bastion Security offers automatic direct debit. You can also pay by cheque monthly, quarterly, semi annually, or annually if you so choose.
